Tag As FavoriteComment		Catherine Moore wrote tons of short novels about Mars.. One of them was called 'Daughter of the Minga' in which an horror story was told about the Minga, an impregnable fortress where the most beautiful women were literrally bred and trained. The Daughters of the Minga were reknown for their beauty, musical talents and dance skills.. Of course, the truth was a different story ... Anyway, i wanted to draw something funny, very elongated, non human.. I was more looking for graphic design than anatomy, for sure :) Just for fun ;p

I like how her movement looks fluid and the way she puts her hands. Very nice with the coloring job, it's an interesting style. I like her clothes. ^_^

A wonderful picture and it's always great to find another C.L. Moore fan! Will you ever do anything else based on her stories? The Shambleay maybe? Or Northwest Smith at the Tree of Life?

Bah, I'll find time here and there. The one I'd REALLY love to illustrate nonetheless, is not a Moore's story.. it's a Leigh Brackett's trilogy : Skaith. What an amazing book !! You're going to do some drawings of the Erik John Stark stories too? Man, I *need* to come back to this galery often! I love Brackett her stories always make me think of the best elements of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Ray Bradbury combined!

The pose is needless to say.. interesting. I like the elongated body. Very nice! And i like the scratchy style hurried style of this is very nice! Colors again great combination.

Wow! This looks awesome. And I am so intrigued about "The Daughters of the Minga", yet as much as I look, I can't find anything about it. I've looked under C.L. Moore, and I've looked up the title itself. I would love to know more about this, can you help me out?
